Animal Liberation Qld is an independent, non-violent, educational, proactive organisation which advocates the rights of non-human animals so they may live according to their behavioural needs free from exploitation, cruelty and abuse in commercial and domestic areas. We also promote vegetarianism and veganism as a healthier, more compassionate and more ecologically sustainable way of life.

Our objectives are to campaign to increase consumer awareness of animal rights issues such as intensive farming, how current farming damages the environment, the use of animals in research, product testing and teaching, the use of animals in all forms of entertainment, live export and the keeping of companion animals. We lobby all levels of government, we produce a quarterly newsletter and have an informative website, we have an education officer who can provide school talks and where possible we help conscientiously objecting students with information and assistance.

At Greenfest we will have a stall containing a life size sow stall and a battery hen cage, plus lots of posters and pictures. Our stall will be both educational and very visual which we hope will encourage people to come in, have a look and talk to us about what our organisation does, how they can help animals, what they can change in their diet and how to speak out on behalf of the animals.
