Colleen Wall

Colleen Ma’run Wall is a senior Dauwa—Kabi woman from the Mt Bauple region, has worked in the arts and cultural field for too many years and is researching her own language, land based stories and their governing Laws.
Her family were drovers so she got to travel the old Aboriginal pathways (Stock Routes) around SE Queensland and feels very honored to have done this with many Wakka and Kabi Elders. She is painting Kabi stories and writing them up as children’s stories for future generations. Ma’run or yellow goanna is her personal totem name. Her main mobs totem is Ka’bai the native bee and her regional totem is Dauwa – withered grey tree.
She is endeavoring to bring cultural Law back to life in all Kabi lives by talking it up and letting everyone know that they still live by it.
