The near-mythical wonderbeast that is Perth 3-piece Tame Impala have been roaring across Australia this year for their first fully fledged headline tour.  

They call themselves a psychedelic rock band who are “really good and awesome and like to play gigs in paddocks and other large areas of grass in the sun.” 

With a full flask of new unheard tunes to plunder, this national gallop will be their last before boarding a plane abroad to set the ears of foreigners on fire in March. 

Late last year the winsome spirits behind Tame Impala, Kevin Parker (guitar and vocals), Sominic Simper (bass guitar) and Jay Watson (drums and vocals) released their hugely successful debut EP in a fury of psyched-up fuss and tumbling rock. From the single Desire Be Desire Go's charmingly sloppy rhythms and wiggy guitar to Half Full Glass of Wine's half-speed, double-riffing magic to the new radio stormer & live show favourite Skeleton Tiger.  With its chiming guitar riff and deep, explorative breakdowns, Skeleton Tiger is a downright spiritual experience, leaving the listener in a state of sonic weightlessness.
