Maia Organics was created by Australian Naturopath Michelle Ovens. She struggled with her ultra sensitive skin for years and decided to experiment with some natural ingredients. Michelle was passionate that the skin care range reflect her Naturopathic philosophies, and whole body treatments - it's not just another organic skincare range; it's a holistic treatment.
Our products are filled with free radical and age fighting antioxidants, natural anti-inflammatory and skin super nutrients, certified organic and natural ingredients, premium quality and organic essential oils, vital essential fatty acids and nourishing cold pressed and organic nut, seed and fruit oils and butters. Our products contain optimum amounts of certified organic ingredients combined with the latest age fighting skin super nutrients.
Have you considered that your skin and beauty routine could harm your health? With the average woman using around 15 products a day (men use less), the absorption of chemicals through the skin is significant. Even the most innocent looking moisturisers and shampoos may be toxic due to the addition of numerous synthetic chemicals.
Regular use of products that include these ingredients have been linked to serious health problems like cancer and autoimmune diseases.
So many skincare brands claim to be natural, green or organic, when they are anything but. Truly natural ingredients (grown by nature, not lab technicians) may only be a very tiny percentage of their total product. Meanwhile, Maia Organics provides premium beauty solutions that are full of truly natural and organic ingredients - enhancing your overall health.
Maia Organics has recently incorporated, an Organic Cotton, Hemp, Bamboo and Wild Nettle clothing range sourced from Australian growers and Made in Australia.
Hemp is the most readily renewable resource available with the least impact on environment which equates to be a sensationally green resource.
Bamboo is green and renewable. Bamboo grows quickly, requiring few farming inputs and no pesticides. Bamboo takes up more greenhouse gasses and releases more oxygen and does not need replanting, or fertilisers and its roots are very good at stabilising erosion prone soil.
It produces natural and eco-friendly fibre without any chemical additives. More importantly, bamboo fibre is a unique biodegradable textile material. As a natural cellulose fibre, bamboo fabric can be 100% biodegraded in soil by micro organisms and sunlight. The decomposition process does not cause any pollution in the environment. "Bamboo fibre comes from nature and completely returns to nature in the end". Bamboo fibre is praised as "the natural, green and eco-friendly new-type textile material of the 21st century". Bamboo fabric is very soft and can be worn directly next to the skin. Many people who experience allergic reactions to other natural fibres, such as wool or hemp, do not complain of this issue with bamboo. The fibre is naturally smooth and round without chemical treatment, meaning that there are no sharp spurs to irritate the skin.
