In 2008, the Australian Koala Foundation launched a new group called Koala Campaigners. The aim of Koala Campaigners is to let the people of the world influence decision makers to once and for all protect biodiversity. The message 'No Tree, No Me' drives Koala Campaigners, who take the science to the politicians with letters, petitions and more to once and for all enact meaningful legislation to protect koalas and their habitat.

The mascot for Koala Campaigners is Urban the Koala. Urban gives a voice to his cousins out in the wild who are trying to survive this toxic urbanised world.
