Realize Beauty is bringing its laboratory to Greenfest and you are welcome! Come along and learn how to make your own products, create something fabulous to take home and have some of your cosmetic questions answered by our cosmetic chemist. We will be exploring the beauty properties of some natural oils, taking a look at herbs that can soothe and learning how essential oils can be blended to fragrance your life.

What we will be able to make:

• Natural Toothpaste
• Massage Oils with Aroma Blend 
• Relaxing Bath Bags

The ingredients include:

• For toothpaste: Bicarbonate of soda, salt, peppermint oil, glycerin.
• For massage oil blend and natural fragrance making: A selection of Australian native essential oils for participants to experiment with - coconut oil, shea butter, jojoba oil, macadamia nut oil, olive oil, Volatile silicone and high MW silicone (for comparison)
• For bath bags: Oats, dry herbs - calendula, rose, lavender etc.

The event runs for 40-50 minutes and covers:

• What are the key safety concerns?
• How can you get started?
• Introduction to materials and ingredients used
• Q&A about the ingredients used
• Keep fresh and storage tips
• Audience participation
