Orange Fudt Tent
House of Fudt has brought “Takoyaki” from the streets of Japan to the festivals and markets of South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales. Takoyaki (translates to Octopus Grill) is the most popular product sold by street food vendors in Japan. Takoyaki is traditionally a little ball of doughy batter, with Octopus, shallots, secret herbs and spices and is garnished with Bonito flakes and Japanese Mayonnaise but unlike most battered products Takoyaki is cooked on a specialised hotplate. Using the hotplate not only results in a low fat product but also is a great spectacle for Patrons to watch while their food is being prepared.
Due to the Australian market not being too conducive to dining on Octopus, Fudt has chosen to substitute the Octopus with Prawn creating “Ebiyaki” (Prawn grill). Further catering to the Australian taste bud Fudt developed a vegetarian alternative called “Yasaiyaki” a ball of doughy batter, Mushroom, Capsicum, Corn, Shallots, secret herbs and spices and is garnished with Japanese Mayonnaise. Not forgetting the sweet tooth Fudt has created Appurro Shinamonyaki (Apple & Cinnamon grill), again it’s a ball of doughy batter, diced Apple & Cinnamon garnished with a drizzle of melted butter, dusted with icing sugar and served with Strawberries & Cream and your choice of sauces.
We all know how a sweet tooth likes to have options to choose from therefore Fudt also produces Gluten Free Japanese Style Mini Buckwheat Pancakes. Buckwheat Pancakes are drizzled with melted butter and served with Strawberries & Cream with your choice of sauces.
