After 200 performances in 2008 alone, it's fair to say Byron Bay/Northern NSW-based Rock/Alternative Blues outfit Marshall & the Fro are one of Australia's hardest working bands... From humble beginnings in Byron Bay/Lennox Head, Marshall and the Fro are now in demand nationally and internationally.

They have shared the bill some of the biggest names Including: Ben Harper, Wolf Mother, The Living End, Joss Stone, Blue King Brown, The Cat Empire, The Herd, Jeff Lang, Jackson Jackson, Josh Pyke, Gomez, CW Stoneking, Mia Dyson, Clare Bowditch, Gotye, Xavier Rudd, Ash Grunwald and Dallas Frasca to name a few. 

Comprised of Marshall OKell on Vocals, Guitar, Slide guitar and percussion, Newest member Tracy Stephens on Bass (Tracy Bassy) and Jacob Mann (Poodle) on Drums, Marshall & the fro really are a refreshing modern Face generating a Progressive Rock/Alt Blues Based musical energy. Their music feels so natural and so comfortable it's like slipping into your favourite pair of thongs heading to a festival only to find that you’re slamming them together in the air chanting their OCCA anthem “I got my thongs on!".
