Crepes & Galettes The French Delights

When I first arrived on the Sunshine Coast from France, I realised very quickly that I would not be able to find one of the most delicious french products : savoury GALETTES and sweet CREPES.
I come from Brittany (west of France) and these delights are part of my culture, and something I want to share with all australians.
In Brittany, where the tradition is so anchored, from the same dough of base, and the same utensils, we make two differents products : the GALETTE, a little bit thick and soft, and the CREPE really thiner and sweet.
The buckwheat flour we use for the galette offers real nutritional value. It's the best known source of high quality, easily digestible protein of the vegetable world.
Besides its absence of gluten, this cereal is an all-natural source for the majority of the nutrients that we require daily.
A traditional meal in Brittany is enjoying several GALETTES and then finishing by differents sweet CREPES.
In both GALETTE and CREPE, differents combinations of fillings are possible....depending on your mood and taste buds!!
