You may think you are doing all you can to save energy and greenhouse gas emissions, but with the celebration of World Environment Day on June 5 and the Greenfest event, now’s the time to step back and think again.
More than 60,000 Queenslanders are on their way to making a significant contribution to fight climate change by taking part in the Queensland Government’s ClimateSmart Home Service. This will result in savings of over 1.4 million tonnes in greenhouse gas emissions. That’s the equivalent of taking 280,000 cars off the road for a full year.
The ClimateSmart Home Service has been developed to help households become more energy efficient and is one of the simplest ways for Queenslander’s to commit to making a difference this World Environment Day.
As part of the service customers receive energy efficient products, customised advice from a licensed electrician and a wireless energy monitor to help track energy usage. All of this could save homes up to $250 a year on their energy and water bills.
Customers have been surprised to discover what it is in their home that consumes the most energy and also pleasantly surprised by the substantial energy savings they’re already seeing.
By providing tangible benefits and education, the ClimateSmart Home Service provides Queensland residents with a way to make a meaningful contribution towards the environment now and into the future.
So, for a simple way to reduce your impact on the environment, visit our stand at Greenfest, where you can have a look at the energy efficiency products, receive more information and book in for a service.
