Fresh film for a cooler planet at Greenfest!
Greenfest – Australia’s largest free and green community festival happens at South Bank, Brisbane 10-12 October this year.
The Greenfest Film Festival provides a variety of unique film to the public, focusing on supporting emerging talent in local film making for short films up to 10 minutes duration. Come along and support the 14 finalist films selected and meet the film makers, some of them screening their first film for the first time. It is a fun and informal celebration of new talent with two breaks for music and chat to wonder what's next. The short film festival will be happening 7-10pm, 10th October at Piazza South Bank, Brisbane.
The free film festival is made up from a list of films chosen from these four categories; First Film, Green Themes, Australian Themes and Creative Arts. For full schedule of short films chosen from public entries, visit http://www.greenfest.com.au/film_festival
As well as the short film festival on Friday 10th, there will also be a feature presentation of Whale Dreamers on Saturday 11th October at 5:30pm, with Director Kim Kindersley and main story teller Bunna Lawrie present to answer questions and share some stories. Jack Thompson, who narrates Whale Dreamers, will visit Greenfest and speak on Friday 10th October at 12pm, at the Piazza.
