Walk Against Warming, walk in unity for a cooler Australia through the city streets and then enjoy a free concert, King George Square, 11am today Sunday 15th August!

PM Gillard, ex-PM Rudd, Hon T Abbott, Hon B Brown and others have all been invited. After pounding Brisbane's marginal electorates, who will turn up in Brisbane's city heart to support a cooler Australia?  Here are the details:  

On the last weekenWalk Against Warming d before the 2010 election you could be the tipping point for a cooler Australia.  An Australia with an effective climate change policy for a healthy environment; healthy new business opportunities in clean tech and transport, healthy individual choices for local fresh food, fitness and greener consumer choices.

Help the next government see the links between personal, business and environmental health. Support a cooler Australia!

Why: To unite for a healthy climate!  It is time for effective climate change policy without further delay, that results results in a healthier environment for individuals, business and community through: 

1. A cap on pollution sending a clear message to financial markets, energy producers and investors to accelerate clean tech opportunity adoption

2. A revised and incentivized taxation policy to make clean energy and transport more affordable, accessible and attracitive to capital markets

3. Commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the next term of government

4. Support neighbours in the Pacific to tackle the challenges

There will be a host of conservation, renewable energy and fresh food exhibitors on hand to make the day a very positive and festive occasion.   There are a few exhibitor spots remaining for conservation, fresh local food producers and education, apply here.
